Chameleon Effect Process at Lithographix
Lithographix recently showcased the Chameleon Effect, a specialty print enhancement that creates multiple color variations depending on the viewing angle. To demonstrate the effect, our team developed two separate designs.
One features a green chameleon wearing a red suit, while the other features an orange chameleon wearing a blue suit. As the viewing angle changes, the printed lens transitions between the two designs and blends them together, revealing a third color combination of a green chameleon wearing a purple suit.
The effect is achieved using our flatbed printer, which builds a lenticular lens layer by layer over the printed artwork. These lenticular lenses refract light and reveal different portions of each design as the viewing angle changes, creating seamless color transitions and a dynamic visual experience.
By combining creative design with advanced print technology, the Chameleon Effect adds depth, movement, and an interactive element that transforms traditional print into a memorable display.
